The quality of the designs needs to be improved. Quality means: performance, lead time and cost of goods must be taken into account. This also means that early supplier involvement is necessary. By giving designers the opportunity to get an overview of the most commonly used techniques at ASML and their advantages and disadvantages, and to gain practical experience with the techniques, the designs can be improved.
